It is possible to make a part-time, full-time, or even full-time income+ working a part-time mom job.
You have to be strategic and pick a currently in-demand job that you are qualified for and can do really well.
I make a full-time income from blogging part-time. I make money from sponsored posts, affiliate marketing, and ads.
Some of the money I make blogging is passive income too, which means money comes rolling in every month whether or not I’m actually working on anything.

2. Vintage Fashion Curator
Dive into the world of fashion history and curate a collection of unique vintage clothing and accessories to sell online or in local boutiques.
A friend’s daughter has an upcycling side hustle and she regularly makes $1000 a week working in her spare time.
She adds flowers, buttons, decals to plain things she buys from thrift stores and charges a lot more for them.
If you can sew a button and you like clothing, this might be a good fit for a part-time mom job for you.

3. Craft Beer Sommelier
Hey, part-time mom jobs can include beer too, why not?
Become an expert in craft beers, curating tasting experiences and offering consulting services to breweries and beer enthusiasts.
4. Online Bookkeeper: An In-Demand Part-Time Job for Moms
LOTS of online business owners are not as organized as they could be with their bookkeeping.
(Cough cough, not me of course…)
To help these poor souls from scrambling at tax time, offer bookkeeping services.
Start a blog to showcase your services, or even easier at the beginning, post your services on Fiverr or Facebook.
Raise your rates as you get more business.
5. Content Creator
Blogging and YouTube-ing are still hot part-time jobs that pay well.
If you set them up properly that is, and work hard at them.
You’re not just going to get handed a whack of money because you set up a blog or YouTube channel.

6. Part-Time Mom Jobs as a Mobile Hair Stylist
Offer professional hair styling services on the go, visiting clients’ homes or offices for haircuts, styling, and special occasion updos.
Mobile hair styling is a small business that has boomed since the pandemic.
I have several friends who started getting hair cuts for their kids at their home during the pandemic, and liked the experience so much, they have continued to do so.
You can set your own hours, and charge good hourly rates, so this could be an attractive part-time mom job if you have a flair for hair.
7. Personal Branding Consultant
Help business owners develop their personal brand, including image consulting, online presence, and personal branding strategies for career advancement.
8. Part-Time Mom Jobs as a Professional Organizer for Busy Families
Help busy families establish routines, systems, and organization strategies to maintain harmony and efficiency in their daily lives.
This could involve meal planning, cleaning schedules, chores, decluttering, and more.

11. Part-Time Mom Jobs for Foodies: YouTube Cooking Show Host
Start your own cooking channel on YouTube.
You can showcase your culinary skills, share recipes, and do cooking demos.
To grow your YouTube channel, consider taking this course on YouTube growth and marketing.
12. Ethical Fashion Blogger
Promote sustainable and ethical fashion choices through blogging, sharing tips, outfit ideas, and brand recommendations to inspire conscious consumerism.

Again like with other business ideas that might have a lot of competition, pick a niche. Don’t make all the jewelry. Find a specific niche and market yourself as the jewelry maker of that type.
Don’t let competition scare you off a part-time mom job or business that you’re interested in, but do let it focus you.

Lead fitness classes in your area, specializing in a specific type of exercise such as yoga, Zumba, or high-intensity interval training (HIIT) (my personal favorite!).
This can be a surprisingly lucrative part-time job for moms.
You can make anywhere from $50-$100+ an hour, depending on if you teaching at a big gym or going out on your own.
17. Travel Photographer
Combine your love for photography and travel by offering travel photography services, capturing stunning images for individuals or tourism boards.
While this might sound far-fetched, a friend of mine does this part-time and gets paid well to travel, take pics, and share stories.
She started with a couple small assignments and it grew from there.
Like I’ve mentioned for other part-time mom jobs in this article, the secret to her success is that she niched down.
She chose a particular type of writing and area to photograph and it grew from there.
She does mainly local photography, which would work well if you are a mom with kids at home.

Provide guidance, support, and accountability to individuals seeking personal or professional growth, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals.

Life coaching can be lucrative ($100-$200+/hour) and is extremely flexible.
19. Children’s Party Planner: Part-Time Mom Job Your Kids Will Love
Plan and organize unforgettable parties for children, incorporating themes, games, and entertainment to create magical experiences.
A local mom in my community started a party planner business and her business has really boomed.
She has a bunch of costumes and wigs for popular children’s characters (Mirabel, Elsa, and Bluey are still big hits).
It doesn’t have to be too complicated for this part-time mom job. She brings themed music, a story, they do dancing and a few games, photo ops, and the kids are thrilled.
20. DIY Workshop Instructor
Share your skills and creativity by teaching DIY workshops on topics like woodworking, painting, candle making, or pottery.
You can offer this online so if you are crafty, this could be a good fit of a part-time mom job at home.
21. Mobile Makeup Artist
Provide professional makeup services for weddings, events, or photoshoots, traveling to clients’ locations and enhancing their natural beauty.
22. Art Therapist
Combine your passion for art with helping others by offering art therapy sessions to individuals or groups, promoting self-expression and healing.
One of my best mom friends is currently taking a program online to become an art therapist.
She’s going to set up her practice online and will fit it in part-time while being a full-time mom.

Open your home to furry friends, offering a safe and fun environment for doggie daycare, boarding, and pet sitting services.

26. Part-Time Mom Jobs at Home as a Home-Based Baker
Turn your passion for baking into a business by offering custom cakes, pastries, or specialty treats for events and celebrations.
I know this home business well because I had one!
I started off my baking business at home, and as I got busier, I rented a shared kitchen, and then eventually got my own bakery.
The one thing you have to make sure is that your city/municipality allows home bakery businesses, because not all do.
If not, you can still rent out a commercial kitchen by the hour or day when you have an order say for a party or wedding.
Churches and community centers are great places to look to rent a shared kitchen (I used both).
27. Dog Treat Bakery
If you don’t want to deal with all the regulations of a bakery for humans but you love baking, you might want to consider a part-time mom job selling dog treats.
There are regulations of course, but they tend to not be as strict as for human consumption.

28. Part-Time Mom Jobs for Outgoing Moms: Party Entertainer
Use your creativity and talent to entertain guests at parties by offering face painting, balloon twisting, magic shows, or storytelling.
29. Organic Soap Maker
Create handmade, organic soaps using natural ingredients, offering a luxurious and eco-friendly alternative to mass-produced soaps.
30. Vintage Furniture Restorer

A friend of mine restores furniture as a side hustle and it’s practically all pure profit for her.
She finds old furniture that is being discarded either through Facebook free groups/Facebook Marketplace, or just by driving by and seeing things on the side of the road that are being given away.
It’s amazing seeing her before-and-afters!

Provide on-the-go car detailing services, offering professional cleaning and restoration for vehicles in the comfort of your clients’ driveways.
32. Part-Time Mom Jobs at Home as a Personalized Gift Creator
Craft personalized and customized gifts for special occasions, such as hand-stamped jewelry, engraved items, or custom artwork.
33. Secondhand Book Curator
Build a collection of unique and rare secondhand books and create an online bookstore or participate in book fairs and markets.

If you have extra space in your home, rent it out for money.
This can be an easy part-time mom job from home that is flexible and can pay well.
I have several friends that run airbnbs and I was surprised at how well they are booked up!
Not because they are not nice places to stay (they are), but our city isn’t exactly a hub of tourism.
Something to consider as you don’t need a degree or experience, or any major skills to start this side hustle for moms.
