Instead of inching along with your blog, learn the best blogging tips for how to increase blog traffic fast. These blogging strategies helped me grow my blog traffic fast – over 300% in one month!
How to increase blog traffic quickly
As much as some people want to tell you this, blogging is not a get-rich-quick business.
Sorry to burst that bubble but I want to be real here, right from the beginning.
Are any legit businesses the get-rich-quick type?
I can’t think of any.
You have to put in the work, but with that, blogging can have high income potential.
To make money blogging, you need to have a strategy, and you need readers. Unless you already have a huge social media following, increasing your blog traffic is incredibly important to making an income blogging.
But I know how it feels to put in the time on your blog, write quality posts, do all the things you think you’re supposed to, and grow slower than you want.
The good news is, it is possible to break out of that rut, get out of that blog traffic plateau you’re stuck on, and grow your blog traffic quickly starting NOW.
If you’re looking for how to increase blog traffic fast, I will show you three proven strategies.
These strategies increased my blog traffic by over 300% in one month – that fast!
I will show you exactly what worked for me to grow my blog traffic from 22,000 pageviews/month to 68,000 pageviews/month and climbing!

Why now is the best time to increase blog traffic fast
If you have ever thought about starting a money-making blog, now is an incredible time and it is BECAUSE of everyone being at home.
Pinterest has reported search traffic being up 60% overall and Google is reporting huge increases in specific search terms.
Here is what happened with The Curious Frugal:
I’m truly blown away but how much my blog traffic has increased. It has TRIPLED in the last month.
If you’re ready to try blogging, you have nothing to lose, and potentially a LOT to gain!
All you will need is a place to host your site, and I highly recommend Bluehost. They are reliable, easy to set up, and very inexpensive! They are the perfect start for the new blogger.
If you sign up here they will also give you a domain name free!
Blogging is one of the cheapest work-from-home businesses you can start up, and it has great income potential.
Bluehost also offers a 30-day money back guarantee so if you try it out and it’s just not for you, you can get your money back. It’s a no-risk choice!
If you want to start a travel blog, I would NOT recommend starting one now. Wait on it.
But if you want to start a food blog, a health blog, lifestyle blog, homeschooling blog, gardening blog, DIY blog, and many other areas, blog traffic has never been better.
Don’t miss this opportunity, it really is rare. You can start your own blog here (and get that free domain name!)
Here is another example of how good blog traffic is right now:
86 readers at one time! I actually had another day where I had 280 readers on at one time but I forgot to screen shot it (oops).
I’m not showing you this to show off my numbers. I actually haven’t shared numbers before, but I realized it can help people so I decided to get over a bit of my shyness about it.
I care about helping people (you!) through my posts. If my blog can grow this much traffic this quickly, you can do it too.
We have never had a time like this where almost all of us are isolating at home. The numbers of people who are searching on Google and Pinterest and social media for topics that you would want to write about are blowing up!
I often only get about 2 hours of (often interrupted) time a day to work on my blog, and it’s STILL growing (a LOT!!). Usually it’s interrupted by a 4-year-old; yesterday it was interrupted by eating cake. 🙂
Why should you care about increasing blog traffic fast?
In simple terms, you will make more money.
When you learn how to increase blog traffic fast you can apply to ad networks, which will pay you to have ads on your site.
The more blog traffic you have, the more money you will make from your blog.
When you reach 10,000 page views a month, you can apply to Monumetric. They are wonderful!
I originally had Google Adsense ads on my blog, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I made pennies a day, at most maybe a dollar or so a day. Not worth it. It cluttered up my site with ads, and barely made any money.
Focus on growing your blog traffic, and wait to apply for a premium ad network.
When I applied to Monumetric, I started making hundreds of dollars a month from ads – I was so happy to see this increase!
If you are already at 10,000 page views a month, apply to Monumetric.
3 ways to increase blog traffic fast
1. Learn Pinterest.
This is so, so crucial if you want to learn how to increase blog traffic fast.
I can’t emphasize this point enough.
Learning Pinterest is the number one thing you need to do to increase blog traffic fast. I did not do this when I started my blog. I tried to do all the things, threw the spaghetti at the wall to see what stuck, and grew slower than I would have liked.
If you’re new to Pinterest (I was before blogging!) it is not a social network like Facebook or Instagram. Pinterest is a visual search engine and for many new blogs is the #1 way to increase blog traffic fast. Read How to use Pinterest for business for more info.
It can take up to 6 months for a post to rank on Google. But Pinterest can give a new blog traffic right away!
I finally buckled down and listened to what I had heard before from several sources – when you are starting out, focus on Pinterest. And my blog traffic has exploded. I currently get over 70,000 pageviews a month.
The best Pinterest course (and it’s super affordable)
If you have started a blog but haven’t seen as many pageviews as you would like, or if you want to start out right from the very beginning of your blog, you have to get Carly’s Pinteresting Strategies course. She is basically a Pinterest genius. Her course is super affordable and she shows the exact Pinterest strategy she uses to get over 300,000 pageviews a month. Yup you read that correctly! I have bought her course and learned SO much about increasing blog traffic fast using Pinterest from it.
She has a unique system of manual pinning, and she will teach you what pins will work (and what ones won’t!) on Pinterest so you don’t waste your time to help you increase blog traffic fast.
Carly has offered readers of The Curious Frugal $5 off her course, yay! Just enter the code PINNING5 when you are prompted for a coupon here.
2. Learn from the best, from the beginning (or starting now).
Once you learn Pinterest from Carly’s course, get your blog set up the right way, so you can turn it into a traffic-happy, profitable online business.
You can do what I did at the beginning, and DIY everything and grow your blog slower. I tend to be a big DIY-er and kind of enjoy the process of muddling through something at the beginning.
There is something to be said for that approach, but it does mean that sometimes it takes me longer (same thing when I had a business selling on Amazon).
The other option is to learn how to increase blog traffic fast from the bloggers who already have LOTS of blog traffic.
Learn exactly how to drive free traffic to your blog through the Bloggers’ Secrets course by The Savvy Couple.
You can stop all the trial-and-error, and the throwing spaghetti at the wall because Kelan and Brittney show you what works and why.
I have taken other blogging courses but most haven’t impressed me that much. They usually told me things I knew already or taught a few basic points and then it felt like there was a lot of filler.
The best blogging course to increase blog traffic fast
Bloggers’ Secrets is the exact opposite of a fluff course. I was honestly surprised by how much information they packed into this blogging course, and how generous they were with their knowledge. It felt like they held nothing back, and that they give you all the secrets they use themselves because they want you to succeed too.
I haven’t felt this way about other blogging courses, they always felt like something was missing and ultimately not worth the money.
But in Bloggers’ Secrets they spill how they became experts on Pinterest, Google, and Facebook ads and started driving hundreds of thousands of pageviews per month (!) to their blog.
Oh and Kelan and Brittney both were able to quit their jobs because their blog was doing so well – these guys are 6-figure bloggers, y’all. And they work 25-30 hours/week. #goals
They will teach you search engine optimization (SEO) to help your posts rank on Google faster.
By the way, make sure you grab my free SEO Checklist for Beginners here. I made it for total beginners, so you can learn how to increase Google traffic too.
In Bloggers’ Secrets you will also learn how to make money with the increased blog traffic you will get, and how to turn that blog traffic increase into subscribers and die-hard fans of your blog!
It’s awesome stuff 🙂
3. Save time with Tailwind.
Tailwind is something else I resisted signing up for from the beginning, even though EVERYBODY told me it was worth it.
I wish I could go back and sign up for the darn thing early on because Tailwind saves so much time. Tailwind is an online scheduling tool that helps you organize and schedule posts to Pinterest and Instagram (I only use it for Pinterest).
Since Pinterest is THE huge traffic driver to most people’s blogs when you’re trying to increase blog traffic, a tool that helps save you time on Pinterest is awesome.
Plus, you can get started with Tailwind for free here. (Sigh, don’t ask me why I didn’t just check it out – I don’t really have a good answer).
Now I use a combination of manual pinning and scheduling pins and it’s working out really well!
I manually pin each new image to Pinterest. Then I use Tailwind to schedule that pin out to relevant boards. I also follow more of Carly’s method but I’m not going to give away her secrets here. I don’t think Carly would appreciate that very much! – you need to get her course to find out the deets.
For more posts like this one (and saving money/work from home posts), follow The Curious Frugal on Pinterest here.
There are two main reasons why Tailwind works to increase blog traffic fast:
1.Tailwind gets your images in front of the most viewers.
Tailwind automatically optimizes the time of your pinning, so it’s at the time when YOUR highest number of readers is online.
You don’t have to figure this out – Tailwind does it for you.
The timing of when you pin is SUPER important.
Before I used Tailwind, I had no idea when the best time was for me to pin. I would upload my pins and get a few views, maybe a few saves and clicks. Nothing too impressive.
When Tailwind started pinning for me at the RIGHT times, I started to get WAY more clicks, and that meant a big increase in blog traffic fast.
2. Tailwind saves you time by automating.
Before using Tailwind, I spent at least an hour every day on manually uploading pins. Since using Tailwind, I spend a few minutes on pinning a day, and there are days when I skip it entirely. When I have been on vacation or too busy to pin on a certain day, Tailwind was getting my posts out there so I could still get blog traffic.
Because Tailwind saves you at least an hour every day, it lets you focus on more important tasks.
The most important task you have when you are growing blog traffic is to create content. The more content you have, the more chances of increased blog traffic to each post. Writing posts and creating images is not something you can automate, so your time is better spent working on these tasks that only YOU can do.
Let Tailwind take care of the tasks that can be automated.
Bonus tip: Stop wasting time on things that aren’t helping you increase blog traffic fast.
Don’t spread yourself too thin like I did trying to do all the things.
There is not enough time in the day to do everything you will want to do for your blog.
I get it! You’re excited, you want to try everything.
Blogging is a marathon, not a sprint. Hold off on those tasks that probably won’t increase blog traffic by any significant amount.
Blogging tasks I wouldn’t spend too much time on while you’re working to increase blog traffic:
- Posting to Instagram
- Facebook reciprocation threads
- Setting up a basic ad network that won’t make you much money (instead grow your blog traffic and when you reach 10,000 page views/month, apply to Monumetric)
- Starting/posting to your Facebook business page
- Starting/posting to a Facebook group for your blog
- Changing your About page all the time
- Figuring out/changing your brand colors
These are tasks you can set up and spend more time down the road, when your blog traffic has increased and is humming along nicely.
Final thoughts on how to increase blog traffic fast
My final advice on growing your traffic fast is to apply what you learn right away. If you’re paying for the courses, you owe it to yourself to try out the material. Sometimes it’s easier to get stuck in the research stage of blogging, but you will never know everything. There is always more to learn and try so make sure you are implementing what you learn in these courses as you go.
For myself personally it took me a long time to finish Bloggers’ Secrets because I would stop after each lesson and start working on that section on my own blog.
I’m excited to hear about your blog and how your blog traffic increases from implementing these three strategies! Write back to me with any questions you have.
