Healthy Breakfast Smoothies
I’m not a winter smoothie person, but as soon as any kind of warmer weather hits, I’m all about smoothies.
On the really hot days in the summer, I sometimes don’t have a huge appetite if I’ve been outside a lot. Smoothies are my go-to for nutrition, protein, fruits and veg, and overall deliciousness.
I thought it would be fun to put together my 5 go-to smoothies arranged by color. Pick which color of the rainbow you feel like today!
I love this blender for making smoothies. It seems to be able to handle anything you throw in there, and is cheaper than many of the other models of this brand.
For a more budget blender, this one is great.
1. Green Avocado Mint Healthy Breakfast Smoothie

This creamy green smoothie is one of my favorite healthy breakfast smoothies. It tastes like a healthy version of McDonald’s Shamrock Shake.
It’s fresh, minty, and filling thanks to healthy fats from avocado. It tastes like a treat but is packed with healthy ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Serve immediately with fresh mint if desired.
2. Yellow Banana Protein Smoothie

This banana smoothie is creamy, naturally sweet, and loaded with protein for busy mornings when cereal just is not going to cut it.
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Optional: scoop of vanilla protein powder
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients until smooth.
- Add extra milk if needed for desired consistency.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy cold.

- 3/4 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1 tsp honey
- Optional: handful of strawberries
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until creamy and smooth.
- Serve immediately.
4. Orange Creamsicle Healthy Breakfast Smoothie

This healthy orange creamsicle smoothie tastes nostalgic and refreshing while still being full of healthy ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 3/4 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp honey
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients until smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Serve cold.
5. Purple Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie
