8 Charlie Brown Christmas Trees That Will Make You Want a Sad, Scrawny Tree This Year

Wah wah wah wah.

What’s that?

Yes, it’s the teacher from Charlie Brown and she is telling us that it’s almost the season to snuggle up on the couch and watch A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Along with Schroeder and Lucy, for me one of the highlights of that movie is the sad little Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

It brings back the nostalgia of making chocolate crinkle cookies with my mom when I was a kid, and starting Christmas morning hopped up on sugar from a Life Savers Candy Book that Santa left in our stockings. (Note: He also left us a toothbrush.)

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Ideas

I’ve always loved Charlie Brown Christmas trees. Sad, scrawny little trees with like six branches and probably no chance of winning a Christmas tree contest.

While everyone else is hunting for the biggest, fullest, most perfectly shaped Christmas tree, I’m over here thinking the little ones deserve some love too.

Plus, they’re often cheaper, take up less space, and you can decorate the whole thing with four ornaments. These 8 sweetly scrawny Charlie Brown Christmas trees might convince you to ditch the picture-perfect pine this year.

1. Classic Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

This is probably my favorite on the list. It’s the classic small, scrawny Christmas tree with single red ball decoration, complete with blue Linus blanket at the base. 🥹

2. Charlie Brown Tree Minus Linus Blankie

Here is another similar Charlie Brown Christmas tree version, but without the Linus blanket if you prefer. I partly also included this one because the use of the word “pathetic” in their product copy made me laugh (“pathetic holiday tree“).

3. Two Balls are Better Than One

Slightly less sad, this Charlie Brown Christmas Tree has two red ball ornaments, not just one! Extravagant!

It is also strangely less expensive than the single ball version.

4. Cat-Friendly Sparse 4-Foot Christmas Tree

This pretty, sparse faux pine tree comes with sparkly lights and a timer. The reviews are excellent, and someone even wrote that it’s a great Christmas tree if you have cats. 🐱

5. Norfolk Pine Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

This lovely, drapey, slim Christmas tree is perfect for smaller spaces, or people who appreciate a little Charlie Brown nostalgia in their lives.

6. Pre-Lit Sparse Christmas Tree

If you want a taller, but still delightfully scrawny, Christmas tree, this tree comes in lots of different sizes to fit your space and your budget.

7. Blue Spruce Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

This Christmas tree is a blue spruce version of the previous tree.

The sparse branches are also a breeze to decorate and reviewers say this one is well worth the money.

8. Charlie Brown-like Skinny Christmas Tree

This little cutie is spindly and perfect for a corner. Buyers also say it’s easy to get back into the box at the end of the season (yay!).
